The Markarian sunglasses model draws inspiration from Markarian 335, also known as the Moving Nebula, a Seyfert galaxy featuring a supermassive black hole located 324 million light-years away in the constellation of Pegasus.
The central black hole in this active galaxy nucleus is remarkable for its corona’s spinning rate, approximately 20 percent of the speed of light, and its notable change in brightness from 2007 to 2014. The geometry of the corona has been deduced from the relativistic blurring of the reflection of the accretion disc. A significant x-ray flare in 2013 is interpreted as an aborted jet.
In simpler terms, the Markarian sunglasses pay tribute to the dynamic qualities of Markarian 335. Inspired by the ever-changing brightness and unique features of the Seyfert galaxy, these sunglasses capture the essence of cosmic intrigue, crafting an enigmatic vibe.
